The slope preparation is very good.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.

Four hours drive from New York City to the ski resort Gore Mountain-it is worth. From the base station you can take the Adirondack Express Triple Chair, ski down and take the High Peaks Double to the top of Gore Mountain. Or you can take New Yorks only gondula from the base to the Bear Mountain. In the upper ski resort you find a lot of steep and heavy runs. You can take the Straight Brook Quad, too to ski on these slopes. But don´t forget to enjoy the nice panorama at the top. To go to the lower skiresort you must ski a long flat run. Here you will find easy and long runs through the forest and another quad, the North Quad. For beginners is the Sunway Double Chair and two pomas at the base station...
