Beginners Kicking Horse – Golden

Beginners will find their terrain in the lower area of the ski resort. There are many wide and easy slopes at the Catamount quad chairlift. These are specially marked as "Slow Skiing" slopes. There is also the Pony Express people mover at the base station. Beginners can even ride up to the mountain station with the gondola lift and then ski down on the easy "It's a Ten" slope from the mountain station to the base (10 km). However, the slopes at the Stairway to Heaven quad chairlift are taboo for beginners.
