The new Gitschberg-Jochtal connection lifts (Schilling lift and Gaisjoch lift) connect the two ski resorts of Gitschberg and Jochtal since the winter of 2011/2012. The ride on the glass bottom Gaisjoch lift is unforgettable. For a mono-cable gondola lift, it has an impressive span width of 540 m and a ground clearance of 93 m - and this includes a romantic view of the Altfass Valley. Modern gondola lifts go up from the villages of Meransen and Vals providing access to attractive slopes. There are two fixed installation chairlifts with conveyor belt entry and two t-bar lifts on the Gitschberg. On the Jochtal, two chairlifts transport guests, one of which is a high speed chairlift with weather protectors. The village lifts available for beginners and for the connection to accommodations are found in the villages of Meransen and Vals. The Muehlbach-Meransen aerial tramway brings skiers from Muehlbach to Meransen. However, there is a distance of a few meters from the mountain station to the village lift.
