Skiing Gitschberg Jochtal (Rio Pusteria)

The ski resort Gitschberg Jochtal is a very special spot, off the beaten ski resort path, which offers a lot of flair and many options for a winter holiday.
With its 16 lifts and 51 km of perfectly groomed slopes for all skill levels, the attractive Gitschberg Jochtal Ski Resort offers the right mix for winter sports enthusiasts of all ages. Since the construction of the 8-person Gaisjoch and Schilling gondola lifts, the snow reliable Gitschberg Jochtal Ski Resort has become the largest ski area in the Eisack Valley. The slopes lead down into the villages of Vals and Meransen and bring family and adventure holidaymakers together. Families feel particularly well-looked-after in Vals, where the ski lifts and slopes run right down to the front doors of the local accommodations. This is also home to a funpark for freeriders and snowboarders looking for a challenge. Active holidaymakers enjoy the opportunities offered by the summy Gitsch mountain in Meransen.
