Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Gerlitzen

The ski resort of Gerlitzen places great emphasis on protecting the environment. The resort can be accessed easily by scheduled bus, train and Winter Ski Buses in the Villach region. A cooperation with the Austrian rail operator Österreichische Bundesbahn (ÖBB) allows free travel on Carinthian S-Bahn train lines. 100% of energy required to operate the lifts and snow production equipment is sourced from environmentally friendly power. A digital snow depth measurement system in the grooming machines ensures that only the required quantity of snow is produced. The ski huts use regional produce from local farms. Recultivation is carried out after construction phases.
