The Schlick 2000 ski resort can be accessed from Innsbruck using public transport. A very large and free ski bus network in the Stubai Valley and a train connection in Fulpmes make it very easy to travel to the ski resort without a car. Reforestation areas and protected forest areas which are off-limits for skiers are effectively protected with fences. The ski huts in the ski resort use mainly regional produce.
