The Maerchenlift slope is especially well-suited for children. It is accessed with the Maerchen lift. Funny characters entertain the children during the lift ride. The base station of the lift is at the ticket desk and the lift has a low incline and is throttled, so it moves slowly. Children with a bit more experience can try the longer Aeussere Familien run. There is also a small children's area at the Maerchenlift slope. Children under 6 years ski for free when accompanied by an adult.

The Ski & Snowboard School Region Murau has an office directly in the ski resort at the Murauer Huette with ski rentals. The children's area of the ski school is easily accessed with the Maerchen lift. There are various obstacle courses and funny characters here as well as professional supervision.
