Test result3 out of 5 stars

Evaluated by Skiresort.info, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts.
The evaluation is done as follows

Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Fernie

Maintaining the mountain environment is a top priority at the Fernie ski resort. Sustainable measures are implemented in order to limit the ski resort's effect on the natural environment. For example, the slopes are only opened when there is sufficient snow and they separate garbage properly in the ski resort. The only criticism: some of the lifts are still powered by diesel fuel.

Public transportation/on-site mobility

  • No direct train connection
  • Ski buses
  • No scheduled buses
  • A shuttle bus connects the town center of Fernie with the Fernie Alpine Village
