The slope preparation is satisfactory.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.

Detailed description of the ski resort
The ski resort Fernie is located about 5 minutes from Fernie downtown. From the base station you can take the long high speed quad Timberbowl Express up to this bowl. From here you can ski or ride different runs down to the quad White Pass. This quad takes you up, above the tree line and now you can choose between CurrieBowl, Timber Bowl and Siberia Bowl. You find runs from easy to expert and you can ski down to the base station. Here is another triple chair and a platter, especially for beginners. The terrain park for snowboarders is accessed from the top of the Timberbowl Express High Speed Quad. At the other side of the ski resort you find the Elk Quad. This chair takes you up to the Great Bear Express high speed quad. From the top station of these high speed quad you can ski into Lizard Bowl on the left side or into Cedar Bowl on the right side. A short rope tow takes you up and you can traverse these bowls to more steep runs. From Lizard Bowl you can ski or ride back to the valley, from Cedar Bowl the t-bar Haul Back takes you up and you can ski down to the Boomerang Triple Chair. This chair takes you up and now you can ski down to the valley or you can ski the Cedar Bowl again. At the end of the day cool drinks can be enjoyed at the "Griz Bar" located in the daylodge in the base area...
