Beginners will find a very good practice area with snow-making equipment in the base area at the Ahorn lift. There are also easy slopes up in the ski resort. All areas of the ski resort are accessible via easy slopes, but advanced beginner skills are required. The valley run is an intermediate slope. The "Waldabfahrt" (forest run) ski route No. 21 is an easier, but longer ski path that shouldn't be a problem for beginners who have mastered the snow plow. Beginners can also practice at the Grunholz lift in Au (about 2 km away).
