Free ski buses link the ski areas in Cortina d’Ampezzo. Since 2009, the mountains around Cortina d’Ampezzo have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This means that construction of new lifts and extensions is now almost impossible due to very strict environmental requirements. The mountain huts focus on regional produce and waste is separated.
