The ski resort of Borovets is located in the Rila Mountains around 70 kilometres south east of Sofia. It is just over an hour’s drive from Sofia. Borovets is around 45 minutes from the A2 and A3 motorways. Other distances: Thessaloniki 3.5 hours, Skopje 3.5 hours, Belgrade 5.5 hours, Istanbul 6 hours and Bucharest 6.5 hours. There are car parks at all entry points, which are generally payable.
