Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Axamer Lizum

In 2022, the energy-efficient direct drive Hoadlbahn lift replaced three chairlifts. Fewer lift pillars and reduced energy consumption ensure greater sustainability. In 2023, the ski resort began operating its own hydraulic power station at the Axamer Bach stream, covering the ski resort’s power requirements from mainly renewable sources.

Axamer Lizum can be accessed easily from Innsbruck using public transport. Visitors are always informed about the free ski bus. Free ski buses run from Axams, Innsbruck, Völs, Kematen, Götzens and Birgitz to the ski resort. The Panoramarestaurant Hoadl-Haus has an integrated solar thermal system. Access to woodland and reforestation areas is effectively restricted.
