Some accommodation is available directly in the ski resort. The Pistenhotel Lizumerhof, the hotels Olympia ‘76 and Olympia ‘64, and the Lizum 1600 are located right next to the slopes in Axamer Lizum. The Lizum 1600 is the Competence Centre for the association of Tyrolean ski instructors and it also offers visitor accommodation during the main season. Many visitors also choose to stay in Axams or Innsbruck and use the free ski bus. Innsbruck, the state capital of Tyrol, offers an interesting combination of city break and ski holiday.
