The slope preparation is very good.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.

Detailed description of the ski resort
The small ski resort Hilltop is located in the North of Anchorage and is a resort especially for beginners. There is one triple chair lift and one t-bar. All the slopes start at the top of the double chair and they end at the bottom of this lift. The runs are very easy and in the upper ski area there is a halfpipe and a funpark for snowboarders. A t-bar works near the halfpipe, so you can take this lift to board the halfpipe. During nightskiing you have a fantastic view to lighted downtown Anchorage. For a break you can go to the Hilltop Haus at the base station or to the Owl´s Nest Lodge at the top. The Hilltop Ski Area is ideal for beginners and for snowboarders which like to board in the halfpipe or in the funpark.
