Gastronomy/Eating at the ski resort Altastenberg

The huts are generally pretty small with very limited menus and the interiors are sometimes outdated. The title of "mountain restaurant" has not been earned by any of them. Those who make the effort to cross the road above the ski resort however, will find very nice restaurants in the village. You can dine particularly well in the Astenkrone.

Schwedenhang mountain station

The nicest hut in the ski resort. Built in log cabin style on the ridge of the Rothaar Mountains with a nice view from the sun terrace. Only accessible via a short footpath from the core ski resort.
