Slopes of all difficulty levels offer the expert as well as the beginner the right experience. The main ski resort is the Wiedersberger Horn, which offers everything from easy to difficult slopes as well as freeriding areas. The smaller Reitherkogel ski resort in Reith i.A. only offers easy and intermediate runs.

The slope preparation is very good.
Even the Baumgarten ski route is partially groomed
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.
The Reitherkogel ski resort (Reith im Alpbachtal) is only 4 km from the highway. Drive another 4 km and you will reach the Wiedersberger Hornbahn and a further 4 km will take you to the Poeglbahn with parking directly at the lifts. The Wiedersberger Hornbahn and Poeglbahn are both for the Widersberger Horn ski resort. Parking lots for the three gondolas are all free of charge.

Orientation (trail map, information boards, sign-postings)
Trail map and overview maps:
The trail map clearly depicts both the Wiedersberger Horn and the Reitherkogel areas. The lift symbols could be made a bit clearer.
Information boards and sign-postings on the slopes:
Information boards at the mountain and valley stations are helpful. The signage on the slopes on Wiedersberger Horn is gut. On Reitherkogel however, only the slope numbers are indicated and there are no information boards. It is not a problem though because all slopes on Reither Kogel lead to the valley station.
Cleanliness on the slopes and in the stations is a priority in Alpbachtal. The gondolas are swept out every evening.
Environmentally friendly ski operation
The slopes are closed when there is not enough snow and an environmentally friendly ski operation is adhered to. There are sign-postings for forest and wildlife protection zones.
Public transportation/ on-site mobility
- No direct train connection
- Ski busses
- Scheduled busses
- Free regional bus operation for all guests and skiers
The personnel is very friendly, but they could be more helpful to guests entering the lifts.
Mountain restaurants, ski huts, gastronomy
Cozy mountain restaurants with good home style cooking are distributed throughout the ski resort. The main focus is on typical skier's fare. Our tip: Boeglalm
