The ski resort participates in diverse environmental protection measures, such as separation of garbage, energy saving measures and grazing on the slopes in order to thicken the grass turf. They also try to implement additional measures.


Awards

Alagna flies the "bandiera arancione" (orange flag) of the Italian Touring Club. This is awarded to villages distinguished for promoting their cultural heritage, protecting the environment, culture and hospitality and for offering high quality accommodations and gastronomy.

    The Pont Saint Martin train station is located in Valle d'Aosta. From the large parking lot at the edge of the village, it's about a 300 m walk at the entrance to the Val di Gressoney. There are bus connections from there into the valley.

  • Ski buses run in Val di Gressoney and in Val d'Ayas from Christmas until April. There are also direct bus connections from the airports in Turin, Milan and Geneva.
