Advanced skiing/powder snow skiing Alagna Valsesia/Gressoney-La-Trinité/Champoluc/Frachey (Monterosa Ski)

The Alagna lift company can be found in the internet under freerideparadise.it and in reality, there are very few ski resorts in the Alps in which such a large majority of skiers ski with avalanche airbags. The possibilities in free terrain are immense, especially if you include the variations that can be accessed by helicopter. The day tour over the border glacier to Zermatt and via Plateau Rosa back to the Val d'Ayas is legendary. For true freeriders, the ski resort is perfect. However, in the secured ski resort, the challenges are limited. The three black slopes are groomed daily. Moguls can be found in the lift track of the Alpe Mandria chairlift - but it's not an official slope.

Information for advanced skiers, freeriders
  • very many freeride/deep snow areas
  • no mogul slopes
  • no extremely difficult, steep and unprepared runs (Double Diamonds)

Most difficult run
  • Nera · Length 0.5 km · Elevation difference 200 m
For this short black section, it will cost you a lot of time on lifts (cable car lift from Stafal to St. Anna and a chairlift to the Bettaforca Pass). For this reason, you will often have the Nera slope to yourself.

General note: Always mind the avalanche warnings and barriers, please. Never ski into a closed and unsecured area.
