Test report Åre

From the center of Åre start the new high speed six person chair VM Express, the double chair Worldcupliften, the nostalgic funiculair Bergbanan to the world cup runs and the aerial tramway Kabinbanan up to Åreskutan on 1274m. The runs at Åreskutan are on wide slopes and offer much space for deep snow runs. On the back side of the mountain are some t-bars and on the front side are a double chair and the 12 person gondola Olympiagondolen which brings people up to the summit. To the base of the Olympiagondolen you can also take the high speed quad Olympialiften from the edge of Åre. The runs down to Åre are mostly intermediate to advanced and lead through forest aisles, but you can also take a very easy run down to Åre. To go to Björnen, the outermost point of the ski resort, you have to ski an easy run via a timber bridge to the t-bar Tottliften, which pulls you up to the Sadeln. From here you can see the runs at the 727m high Försberget. Easy to very easy runs lead down from Sadelen to the Björnliften which is the connection lift to the Försberget. The t-bar Försbergliften opens easy to intermediate runs and there are some t-bars, especially for beginners. The t-bars for beginners undercross the street and open very easy terrain to learn skiing and riding. Back to Åre you have to take the Vargliften or Björnliften, the Högasliften and the Sadelliften again up to the Sadeln. From here beautiful, wide runs through forest aisles lead down to Åre.

Not to forget, the ski resort Duved, about 10 km from Åre, it offers a small ski swing from Tegefjäll to Duved. In Duved the high speed six person chair with bubbles Duved serves intermediate runs abouve the tree-line. Beginners find in Duved, as well as in Åre Björnen perfect slopes and t-bars. After the skiing or riding many après ski bars invite the sportler and in the evening you will have fun in the discos with live music. Old and young can find in and around Åre nearly at every time various kind of amusement. From skiing or riding - easy to extreme - to disco with live music, nearly everything is in Åre for the guests.
